📹 Moodle Video Recording — Quick Tutorial (Assignment & Forum)
🎯 You can record a short video directly in Moodle’s text box. It works the same in Assignments and Forums.
🧷 No separate upload — the clip is inserted where your cursor is.
1) Open the activity 🔓
First, go to the place where you want to post your video.
- 📝 Assignment → click Add submission.
- 💬 Forum → click Add a new discussion or Reply.
2) Place the cursor 🎯
Decide exactly where the video should appear in your text.
- 👆 Click inside the text box to set the insertion point.
- ✍️ (Optional) Type a short sentence above or below the video.
3) Start recording ▶️
Use the built-in record button in the editor toolbar.
- Click the Record video (camera) icon.
- ℹ️ If any message appears, follow the on-screen instructions.
4) Record your message 🎙️
Keep your message short and clear.
- ▶️ Click Record, speak, then click Stop ⏹️.
- 👀 Check the preview if shown.
5) Insert the video 📥
Add the clip into your text where the cursor is.
- 📎 Click Attach/Insert (wording may vary).
- ✅ Confirm the video thumbnail/box appears in the text area.
6) Finish and submit 📤
Save your work so others can see it.
- 📝 Assignment → click Save changes → Submit (if required).
- 💬 Forum → click Post to forum.
Tips 💡
- 😊 Look at the camera, speak clearly, stay on one main idea.
- 🔁 If you make a mistake, delete the clip, record again, then submit.
