Tahvel – Introductory guide for students

General info about Student Information System “Tahvel”. Student view.

1. Signing in

Go to the https://tahvel.edu.ee
The button for signing in is in the upper right corner – Logi sisse.

 At the moment (Spring 2025) there are four ways to enter the system: ID card, Mobile ID, Smart ID, or for international students with a username and password (given to you by the Seminary).


2. Change language

Currently two languages are available: Estonian and English. Switching languages is done with the links in the upper right corner, Est – Eng 


3. Menu Choices

The following are available in our Seminary.
Lesson plans – A learner’s lesson schedule with the ability to view schedule of study group, lecturer, or class.
Learning results – all the study information.
Other study information – Study plan, Academic calendar, Study schedule, Curricula, Subjects.
Documents – Applications (eg. for academic leave) and VÕTA – transfer of subjects from another school.
Notifications – Tahvel and study related messages.
My Data – Students can view and edit their personal information. Also add and confirm new declarations, and register for courses.


4. Study Plan

The Study Plan is the list of subjects the student has declared for the semester. The Study Plan is composed and approved by the student personally and student is responsible for it being correct. My Data-> Study plan

If there is no Study plan for new study period, add this with the Add New Declaration button.

To change the declaration (Change subjects), select Edit.

Add required subjects

To add required subjects to your Study Plan, click on the “Add curriculum subject” button (1), then select from the list of required subjects and click on “Add subject to study plan” (2).

Add electives

To add elective subjects you plan to take, click “Add extra-curricular subject” (1), type in the code or the name of the subject (2), and click on “Add subject to study plan” (3).

The Study plan (Declaration) must be confirmed with the “Confirm” button below before the end of the declaration period.

If a change needs to be made in your Study Plan after the declaration is confirmed, click Remove confirmation – edit – add or delete subject – save and confirm the declaration again. Changes can be made by the student only before the end of the declaration period. After the end of the declaration period a written request must be sent to the Dean.

5. Checking Grades

To view the grades of subjects you have taken, go to the Learning results (1) in the menu, click on LEARNING RESULTS (2) -> CURRICULUM COMPLETION (3).
